Who are some artists you have been jammin' on as of late?

hmmmm well I saw Alex Bag lecture recently which was amazing. She made an “experimental” film called “Untitled- Fall ‘95” which is about art school, & she has other great work too. I’ve also been looking at  some Japanese designers like Rei Kawakubo, Yohji Yamamoto, and Junya Watanabe. It’s interesting, in Kansas City I was making a lot of really colorful work with lots of pinks & neons, but when I moved to the North West I almost immediately started making really monochromatic work & became interested in very clean, minimal black & white images. (my Tumblr archive shows the abrupt change). I haven’t been seeking out new artists to look at lately, which is weird. But I have been getting inspiration & ideas from other places, mainly Ram Dass lectures (and, of course, Be Here Now) as well as the Tibeten Book of the Dead. I dunno, this place is dark and rainy and all the old trees make you think about death, so I’ve been making work about death (which is impossible).
